The calendar view works great and is very handy, one suggestion to keep on top of orders would be to have for example the amount of priority orders and overdue orders on the screen. also these orders to show if clicked.
Also since the updates it does not show the size of the items in the ordered products list in production.
Product filters is a new widget that you can drop onto your product page similar to the categories widget. You can grab it from the Widgets panel in the Website Pages editor.
Hi,
Running 8.5 beta,
Couple of things would be great,
Purchase orders - could these be viewed on production calendar
Viewed in calendar with due date
Could POs be linked to specific orders so we know when stock is due for jobs, this would be great for bespoke jobs that may have various products from multiple suppliers
Let me have a think about purchase orders as its completely different data model to show on Calendar. Would u want the production obs on same calendar as Purchase orders..? Or a separate calendar for PO's..?
At the moment their is a link between jobs and PO's. If you open a job and go to the production tab , you can click on the PO column and see and track and POs raised / outstanding for that job.. This what you are afer..?
Hi Greg,
POs could be on a different calendar, as more an overview of whats due in at a quick glance and can chase up if late etc.....if it cross linked to relevant Sales order that would be great.
We put together a lot of bundles for clients and order from many different suppliers, some suppliers we may only use once for a specific project so important that we know what is needed for what Jobs and more importantly if its late.
See Po link with order now. Will set up so we can use properly.
The calendar view in production makes life a lot easier.
Had 1 glitch so far that support are looking at, cant load images into new product set up.........seems to be an 8.5 issue
I have heard feedback that having a calendar for the sales guys would be handy as well.
Would u see this as a shared calendar or a different calendar per use case.
What dates would you show when looking at a calendar for a sales person.. and could you schedule any dates..?
Be good to get feedback on what you guys would like to see here.
The RUSH priority thing would be great. It sounds like you are considering using icons, which hopefully would be multi-purpose.
For example:
At my company, we use the word "FIRM" to indicate that a due date is a must-do. It's not necessarily a RUSH, because the FIRM date might be weeks into the future.
For us, a RUSH typically means 1-3 day turnaround time. But if we had multiple icons to choose from, we could have one for 1 day, 2 day, etc.
This will be a nice addition to Deco. I hope this will be flexible enough to do more than just indicate RUSH.
