Search Engine - No follow for Affiliate site

2 years 2 months ago #15197 by screenking
Hello,

A customer wants to register an affiliate site purely for the purpose of sending orders though. He has a site at present and does not want the affiliate site to show up on search engines.

Is there a way to set a no follow on the affiliate url ?

Thanks

I have no idea about this problem. Read some tutorials online .

nofollow doesn't block things from showing up in search engines, it tells google not to give credit to those links, you want noindex...

Usually we'd edit the robots.txt to block them, but with deco this might work:
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow">
