add a completed product was created by julden
I cannot find how to add a completed product for sale. I have socks that are already decorated that I am trying to add. So I just want to add the picture of the socks all ready decorated. Please let me know the best way to do this.

Thanks

We have a couple of ways of doing this..

- with the other blank products that can be decoarted..?
- with the decoarted products..?

I too would like to know how to do this. I have a lot of products from other suppliers (sublimation, laser, etc) that I would like to take a picture of and put on the site to sell. But so far the only way I have seen to do this is upload the graphic, then upload the product and then go into create a decorated product, and use the designer. This is very slow and time consuming. I tried another way, but because I marked it with no decoration and I had told my system not to sell blank items, it lets me create it and it shows on my page but it will not allow to add to cart.

So we had an old feature that allowed you to mark you blank product as a decoarted product as such , and appears in that list..

If runing an affiliate network you can even force this product onto stores or not.

So I am hearing you would like us to look into reviving this feature..?

Also , at a product level you can override teh default behaviour of being able to be added to cart blank or not.. This should help Clizzio :)

cheers,
Greg

That did help...Thank you Greg. I got the pre designed item to show up and allow checkout. Now how do I get it in the right category? In the beginning I created a tab on the menu bar that is PRe-Designed Items. When I added a item the "slow" way as I described in the last post, this showed up in the categories to list in. But when I just added this new pre designed hat the way you said to, Pre-Designed Items does not show up in the category list. Hope that is not too confusing. I attached a few pics maybe to help

Hi,

I can see a couple of things , and we need to make some pages more apparent.

You have added a decoarted product widget to your blank product page -https://nowprintthis.secure-decoration.com/create/Headwear?c=4684926.

The /create/ page which you have renamed Pre-Designed Items, is reallythe system page to display blank products. ( you can add whatever you like of course) , however this is the only page in the system that will paginate and sort blank products. Also why your main nav for this page is showing blank categories.

You have then somewhat done the opposite on your /shop page ( the only page that can paginate and sort decorated products). You have added a blank widget to this page.

If you like I can swap them around and fixup for you..?

Hope the above makes sense.. shoot questions of course.

Cheres,
Greg

I guess I do not understand how to add the completed product. I did it here but I do not think it is correct as I still have a white sock from decorated products on it.

From what I can see, you created a decorated product on top of the blank product ( white sock).

I thought you wnated to define a product ( set prices , sizes and what not) as a blank product but cant be decorated..?

If thast the case , define a custom blank product , and dont add any areas to be decorated..

I can help set one up for you if you like.

Cheers,
Greg
