Recently our DTG output on Gilden Premium Cotton hoodies has become "spotty" IE: The white ink under based has spotty drop-outs that look like there is no pretreat. We use an auto pretreat machine and get good coverage, we even doubled the passes and brushed heavily to ensure good coverage and that the pretreat coverage is complete. Also, we have pressed the garments for up to 3 times the normal amount releasing the steam several times to prevent crystallization. Has anyone experienced this?
Yes, we shake it every morning. And yes, nozzles where fine.
In fact, we ran black hoodies and maroon at the same time. The maroon was spotty. The black fine. We thought it might be a sizing ( chemical) issue in the fabric?
Or, possibly not dry enough but we actually pressed these 3 times at 55 seconds and released the steam each time to prevent crystallization... still no joy.
After wasting 3 hoodies gave up and put HTV on them.
