Edit: SOLVED. We left the Designer enabled, but turned off all decoration processes for the product. Now it shows up on web store but the customer doesn't see the Designer.
We're just getting started with DN. We're an awards/engraving company and at least for starters, we don't want our customers doing online design of our products ... plaques, trophies, etc.
So, here's what we've done:
- Created a custom field. It's a Text Area, where the customer can enter what they want engraved on the award. (We'll do the design ourselves.)
- In Designer Settings, we set this to "No": Allow Online Designer. This toggles the availability of the designer to customers.
I only have one product added so far, for testing purposes.
When I disable the Designer, the product is NOT visible on our webstore.
When I enable the Designer, the product is visible.
I must be missing a setting somewhere. Since the knowledge base says you can disable the Designer, and they give me the ability to do so, there must be a provision for showing products without having the Designer active.
