If you've integrated with Mailchimp there's an unsubscribe option on the generated emails. They're also running (not watched it) a course for GDPR compliance & how they're getting around it for everyone to be compliant - got an email from them last week on it
Mailchimp will put an unsub link into their emails for you. However managing the email addresses that go into it will be largely up to you the fulfilment centre owner to make sure you are complying with GDPR stuff if thats your concern, which is why it'd be a good idea to check in with mailchimp's own GDPR advice.
Hi Adam, just wanting to check something.
My understanding of how the Mailchimp integration works in Deco is that all registered users are automatically added to the Mailchimp list, whether they click the "Add to Newsletter" box or not - is that correct?
Just wondering what the best workflow is in dealing with customers who have NOT checked the Newsletter box, but get automatically added by Deconetwork to Mailchimp.
Do you just filter and delete those users in Mailchimp? Will they get added again in the next sync?
It doesn't seem to make sense to have people on the list that have not consented to email marketing.
