? The SanMar catalog is being updated and we're actually working on integrating to do live updates as SanMar change their catalog.
Hi all, Thanks everyone for your feedback. We're contacting catalog providers as we speak. As mentioned in our email it would be brilliant if you can also contact your catalog provider and ask them to contact us at DecoNetwork. It's one thing for DecoNetwork to ask for the data, but its a totally different story when you, as their customer, is asking for it.
Also, good news: We now have COPY blank products in DecoNetwork. Available in V6 beta. If you are not on V6 yet visit
www.deconetwork.com/beta
to apply.
Browse to your products, change to list view, and select Copy.
Here are my top wholesalers. I'm on the East Coast in the US so some may be area specific:
American Apparel (DIRECT) I would like to see the full catalog and direct ordering prices
Alternative Apparel (DIRECT)
Next Level Apparel (DIRECT)
Royal Apparel (DIRECT) [love this brand!]
Carolina Made [Very similar to sanmar, but in NC]
LAT Sportswear [Rabbit Skins manufacturers]
I would also like to see more workwear from SanMar like safety vests, safety jackets, lab coats, scrubs, etc. All of my large clients are huge construction companies and hospitals that put in $5000-10000 orders of these at a time and having to manually make mock ups of these types of items off of low res photos & price out multiple print jobs is a major pain.
It would be great to get the existing supplier catalogs right before adding new ones!
One of my key suppliers in the UK is Ralawise. I have tried adding catalogue products from their list on numerous occasions and many of them are incomplete or incorrect:-
- Missing or incorrect colours, sizes, views.
- Incorrect size sequence and descriptions e.g. "To fit chest" on a pair of shorts.
I often spend more time trying to correct catalog products than it takes to add them as custom items, and sometimes it is just not possible to correct them at all.
I am not sure who provides the data and how it is loaded into Deconetwork. If the errors are all down to Ralawise then I will happily take it up with my account manager.
I have enough hurdles to overcome with Deconetwork already without the frustration of having to check and correct every catalogue item too!
I am getting more and more requests to load catalog products - and those products are turning out NOT to be in the products that DecoNetwork makes available for import. With winter on the way, there are more requests for caps and beanies. I just got a request for 4 of them.
Anything that can be done to make all products from Alpha Shirts available would be fantastic! If there are ideas on how to easily load them outside of DecoNetwork, I'm all ears. My solution thus far has been to order sample products in each color and have the photographed - for each view. Takes lots of time and results in customer dissatisfaction.
PS - I did make a request to SanMar but don't know how long or if they will make their products available via DecoNetwork.

What I do is find the high res version of the product I want on the suppliers website, sanmar supplies them im sure alpha does too, look in the marketing section. Then create the view template in photoshop using that image so I don't have to order anything or take photos.
I've had issues with the Catalogue suppliers to, I have found some of the images still have the background around the edges and you end up with a halo effect in preview and alot of them are missing the Sizes or the size chart completely.
I think it would be fantastic if we could download the .psd files used in the catalogue products so if needed we can adjust them our selves.
The problem I have found with suppliers is they always seem to have hi res photos of the fronts of there products but not often the backs as well.
Edit
I would be more then happy to share the transparent Product images I have worked on for AS color if anyone needs them.
I will look into this. Thanks for the suggestion. My concern lies in finding a good enough pic and pics of every position. The cap I need from SanMar has a good photo but it's skewed to the left and not face front. And for other products there are no side or back views.
