Hi StitchPrint,

Your site has a lot of great content which will help tell a visitor who and what you are. But I wonder if that is needed on the front page. You can copy all that great content and include it on another page like your about us page. Google will still find it :)

You've probably heard the term "below the fold". This in web terms means the part of a website the customer sees before they scroll their mouse down. Its usually around 800 px high depending on the monitor size and 80% of users interact with the section above the fold. So its important that the first thing the user sees convinces them you are right for them.

This is usually product, price, and service.

Product: Do you have what I need?
Price: Are you within my budget?
Service: When can I get it?

I would adjust your to account for these. I've made a very quick mock-up in CorelDRAW and honestly did not spend much time on it so don't take it literally! Image below.

Your logo is no doubt known by your customers and your video is great. It shows you are real, professional and someone I can talk too. I know who "Richard" is now! So I would in your header include your phone number as another reinforcement that you are real. Also consider a tag line or what sums up your business. I've included Printing and Embroidery and highlighted these to make it super clear when they first see your site "Do you have what I need?".

In YouTube adjust you video to show a new thumbnail. The current one is not very appealing. If you can pick a thumbnail that shows embroidery or a tshirt. Something that they will see and again answer immediately "Do you have what I need?"

Color wise I've adopted the red and blue from your logo. I think they look good together! Not sure if these are your corporate colors but try to use them through out your site. The current green links don't really match your logo I feel. Up to you :)

Secondly, I would include some more call to actions. I've created a small banner in your colors and tried to answer all questions: "Do you have what I need" (T-shirt), "Are you within my budget?" (From £10) and "When can I get it?" (Available within 3 days).

Of course adjust these to what you can do or offer.

Finally below that I included a small banner that says what you do in terms of products. Good content and will help a user identify that you are the right service for them.

Just my thoughts so welcome your comments or other peoples feedback.

Thanks Brenden that is just what was needed :cheer: Andrew is booked in for a re-skin on my site, We've sat down & decided to tailor it very specifically to our target markets so there's some serious re-working about to take place, I'm sure we'll be using some of the ideas you've thrown in to the ring.

Great I can't wait to see your site when done! Make sure you share!

P.S. Targeting is good. To many people try to rule the world. Niche is best :)

Busy taking some advice from your previous blog on using google fonts; It's not a simple as you make out is it :( I'm having fun with font sizes that will probably now be left to the re-skin.

note to self: You don't know what you're doing - leave it alone! :lol:

Hi there,

Google fonts should be as simple as adding the font link <link href=' fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto+Condensed ' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'> in the <head></head> section of your website and then using the font name against the element you want to use it on. In the case of the navigation menu it would be:

#navigation li a {
font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif;
}

If this doesn't happen let me know what font you want to use and what part of your site you want to use that font and I'll take a look at it for you.
