Google analytics showing most of my traffic coming from scam sites!

Is there any way to block these sites?

I have no association with any of these services, and I have no idea why they are sending traffic to my site. I can't even get a real idea of my analytics because of these bozos.

9 out of 10 are ad for cash sites with 100% bounce-back rate. The other ones are sites linking to the social icons for downloading/stealing.

Hi,

You might want to look at excluding them from your referrals in Analytics. See support.google.com/analytics/answer/2795830?hl=en

At the moment we don't have a way to block sites.

Would be a good step forward - we've been getting inundated recently!

Masking it is great to give me a better idea of my traffic results, but I wanted to physically block these sites, so I did some digging.

I found this info really helpful:

You can actually block the sites from sending traffic to your site by editing the .htaccess file.
*ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP OF THE HTACCESS BEFORE EDITING*
