Marilyn Monroe belongs to world – which includes t-shirt printers!

In a decision that has surprised some, a US Federal Court ruled on Tuesday that the estate of Marilyn Monroe was wrong to pursue companies that use her imagery without permission or royalties for items such as t-shirts and memorabilia.

Fitting considering Monroe predicted exactly this over 50 years ago…

“I knew I belonged to the public and to the world, not because I was talented or even beautiful but because I had never belonged to anything or anyone else.”
